Hi,
Hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas. My wife and I spent 12 days in the UK with family over Christmas and the New Year. Most days we had rain but it was not that cold. Had to cancel several photography trips due to the weather, but still had a morning at Bristol zoo with my son in law. With the weather so dull and dark I had to use an ISO of 1000 on my Nikon to acheive a good shutter speed. This in itself produces noise. Photoshop can reduce the artifacts produced by noise but this can also reduce the sharpness of the image. Working with Raw files is the best way to help reduce the bad effects and cure the problems of noise.
With the clouds we are having in Spain lately gives some lovely sunsets, even shooting from your own garden.
Now is the time to start planning your holidays for this year. We are off to the UK again in June, then to Italy visiting Venice, Verona and Lake Guarda.
I am also going to see my brother in the Alps in France for a few days. Lots of opportunity for photography.

Those of you who would like a short introductory lesson on your new camera or another topic including editing images on a computer please contact me via my contact page. Email advice is free.
